The Skoda Elroq medium SUV debuted globally in late 2024 as the brand's second dedicated electric vehicle. Built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform, it arrived in Australian showrooms in late 2025. It effectively serves as the electric successor to the popular petrol-powered Skoda Karoq. The model introduced the "Modern Solid" design language, featuring a distinctive Tech-Deck Face in place of a traditional grille.
Early Australian arrivals included the Elroq 85 Select and the flagship 130 Years Edition. These variants utilise a 77kWh usable battery and a rear-mounted motor. An entry-level Elroq 60 Select joined the local range in late 2025 to offer a more accessible price point. While the name remains consistent across global markets, its positioning varies, often competing with both small and medium electric SUVs due to its interior packaging.
The 2026 Skoda Elroq range expanded with the addition of the high-performance RS variant. This flagship model introduced all-wheel drive and increased power to the line-up. Standard features across the range include a 13-inch multimedia screen and various "Simply Clever" storage solutions. Skoda offers the model with a seven-year unlimited kilometre warranty to appeal to Australian buyers transitioning to electric power.
The line-up currently starts at $47,990 for the Elroq 60 Select and ranges through to $64,990 for the range-topping Elroq 130 Years Edition.

Available colours for the Elroq are ‘Timiano Green’, ‘Moon White’, ‘Black Magic’, ‘Velvet Red’, ‘Race Blue’ and ‘Graphite Grey’.
Elroq 85 Select standard equipment highlights are 19-inch alloy rims, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats. There’s also an eight-speaker audio (with digital radio), wireless device charging and a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel. The 130 Years Edition ups the ante with 21-inch rims, an augmented reality head-up display, power front seats (with memory and massage), heated rear seats, three-zone climate, 12-speaker Canton audio, a 360-degree overhead camera view, adaptive cruise control and more.
There’s a heavy emphasis on the use of what Skoda says are “sustainable, practical and durable materials” in the Elroq cabin. The ‘Loft Design’ interior in the 85 Select uses fabric comprising 78 per cent recycled PET plastic, while the ‘Lodge Design’ in the 130 Years Edition features synthetic leather and a fabric made from Nylon waste.
The Elroq is powered by a single, rear-mounted AC permanent magnet synchronous motor sending 210kW/545Nm to the rear wheels only.

The Skoda Elroq is a small, five-seat SUV. The front seats in the 85 Select are heated and in the flagship 130 Years Edition they’re power-adjustable (with memory and massage) and heating is added to the two outer rear positions. It would be a little tight for three full-size adults across the back; two is probably better. But a trio of up to mid-teenage kids will be swimming in it.
