The Audi Q3 small SUV has been a big success for Audi, as buyers across the automotive spectrum abandon sedans and hatchbacks in favour of high-riding SUVs. It’s not designed to carry sizeable loads, thanks in part to a swoopy coupe-esque roofline, but the Q3 is more about its front-seat passengers.
The five-seat Q3 can be had with 1.4-litre and 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines as well as a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel, with prices ranging from $58,700 to $81,900 for the Q3 35 Tfsi and Q3 Tfsi 195Kw Quattro, respectively. While a front-wheel drive is offered, the majority of sales are for the all-wheel drive models.
Audi also offers a hot rod version known as the RS Q3, which sports the German brand’s awesome five-cylinder 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
Standard no-cost colour for the 2027 Audi Q3 is ‘Arkona White’ with optional metallic shades including ‘Mythos Black’, ‘Navarra Blue’, ‘Glacier White’, ‘Progressive Red’, ‘Sage Green’ and ‘Malpelo Blue’. There are two pearl effect shades - ‘Arrow Grey’ and ‘Daytona Grey’ with ‘Madeira Brown, matt effect’ optionally available on the TFSI quattro 195kW only.
The 2027 Audi Q3 cabin is clean, contemporary and brilliantly functional. A widescreen dashtop array houses the configurable digital instrument cluster and media display touchscreen. Ventilation control is via the screen but in typical Audi style there’s a physical dial for audio volume and other functions including the ‘drive select’ system.
The 2027 Audi Q3 has a 488-litre boot volume with the folding second row seat upright, expanding to 1386 litres for the SUV and 1289L in the Sportback with it lowered. The rear seat also slides fore and aft to increase flexibility.
It all depends on what aspect of the car disappointed you, Kylie. The clinical feel of an Audi interior is not a chance thing and the brand spends lots of time and money ensuring that its cabins and driving environments are among the most ergonomically savvy in the game. If, however, that makes the thing feel something less than special, then this is a classic example of where perception is reality. For you (which is what matters).
I'd also be interested to know what variant you drove that prompted you to ask questions about engine performance. The Q3 is available in one variant with 110kW and 250Nm, but also a higher-spec version with 132kW and a much meatier 320Nm. These feel quite different to drive thanks to the extra performance of the latter.
Beyond the Audi brand, the world is your oyster. The phenomenal popularity of SUVs means that pretty much every maker has one of each size in their line-up. They come in all grades of trim and cover a huge range of price-points. Check out the Carsguide website reviews section and you'll see what we mean.

It is a six-year-old car and things can go wrong with them, no matter the price tag when it was new. All carmakers have a responsibility under law even after their own warranties have expired, so you could try and negotiate a deal with them over the unit, but I doubt you’ll succeed.

Those numbers seem very expensive and the deal probably locks you into a fixed service plan with the selling dealer. For me, it's not a good deal.
