The XPeng G6 was launched in 2023 as a mid-size electric SUV aimed at global markets. Built on the company’s SEPA 2.0 architecture, it arrived as the brand’s first model designed with international expansion in mind. In China, the G6 was positioned as a rival to the Tesla Model Y, offering a choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and a claimed long driving range.
Following its debut, the XPeng G6 began rolling out to export markets under the same name, without adopting alternative badging. Early updates focused on software, including driver-assistance features and over-the-air improvements. The model also benefited from XPeng’s focus on efficient manufacturing, which helped it stay competitive on price while still offering fast charging and practical cabin space.
Today, the XPeng G6 plays a central role in the brand’s overseas push, including Europe and right-hand-drive development for other regions. It remains the company’s best-selling SUV and a showcase of XPeng’s EV technology.
The line-up currently starts at $54,800 for the G6 Standard and ranges through to $59,800 for the range-topping G6 Long Range.
The 2026 XPeng G6 is available in Arctic White, Stellar Purple, Silver Frost, Graphite Grey and Midnight Black exterior paint colours, depending on the trim level.
