Car Servicing
My 2000 model Holden Jackaroo’s auto transmission is playing up. I can drive it around town but on a long-distance drive it will overheat and will not engage any gears. The car may need a new transmission or just a service, what would your thoughts be on the problem?
The 2010 Suzuki Kizashi CVT transmission is sealed for life, mine has done 67,000 km with no problems, when do you think I should look at having it serviced?
I have a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Active X V6 which was great until it suffered engine failure at 60,000 km. The vehicle has been with the dealer since March this year. Approval for the warranty replacement of the engine had to come from the factory in South Korea but has now been finalised. After much delay I am told that Hyundai now has all the required parts. However, they still cannot tell me when my vehicle will be fixed and returned to me. How can I get some action and answers from Hyundai? Where do I go?
The powertrain light keeps coming on in my 2014 Mazda BT-50 and there is no power. Everything else is perfect.
My two-year-old Nissan Qashqai has been in for service seven times for a systems warning fault and it is still coming up on my screen. As it appears Nissan cannot fix the problem would I have any recourse? Your assistance in this matter would be appreciated.
I have a Toyota Kluger 2017 I bought new, which was just out of warranty in July 2020. In March, I took the car to Toyota for service and was told the water pump was showing signs of a leak, will need to be monitored and might need to be replaced in the next service (if required). It was shock as my car has barely done 39,000 km. A friendly staff-member at Toyota then asked me to bring the car back, took the photos and sent them to Toyota Australia to see if it would cover the cost of replacing the water pump out of courtesy and their brand reputation. This morning, I received the call from Toyota with the bad news: Toyota Australia won't cover the cost because the car is out of warranty. What should I do? Contact ACCC or just pay for the cost out of my pocket?
I have a sloppy stick shifter on my 2012 Great Wall V240 that sometimes won’t go into gears properly when moving, any idea what could be the problem?
Where is the fuel filter located in my 2010 Ford Focus?
