"Launched globally in 1990, the Mitsubishi 3000 GT was the brand’s flagship sports coupe, showcasing cutting-edge technology and bold styling. Known as the GTO in Japan and the Dodge Stealth in the US (when sold through Chrysler’s badge-engineered partnership), the 3000 GT was designed to compete with the likes of the Toyota Supra and Nissan 300ZX.

Under its sleek, low-slung body, the 3000 GT packed serious hardware, including all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, active aerodynamics and, in top trims, a twin-turbocharged V6. This was rare performance tech in the 1990s, especially from a mainstream manufacturer like Mitsubishi. The model gained a cult following thanks to its blend of speed, grip and grand-touring comfort.

Though never officially sold in Australia, the 3000 GT found its way here through grey imports and is now a sought-after modern classic. Enthusiasts praise its forward-thinking engineering and unique place in Japanese sports car history."

The line-up currently starts at $5,500 for the 3000 (base) and ranges through to $17,050 for the range-topping 3000 (base).
