Carsguide Contributing journalist Peter Anderson had this to say at the time: When you've got 50-something models to choose from, it's very difficult to suggest - or even guess - at the sweet spot in such a large range. The P250 is a fine start and the R-Dynamic additions made it a lovely car for a fair chunk under $100,000. That's a lot of money, but not by Range Rover standards.

The following Land Rover Range Rover Velar comes with five seats, with 20:40:20 split folding rear seats. Perforated grained leather seat trim is available on the S and SE variants in Ebony, Light Oyster or Acorn. Perforated grained leather and suedecloth seats come on the R-Dynamic S and R-Dynamic SE in Ebony, Light Oyster or Eclipse. Perforated Windsor leather seats are standard on the HSE and R-Dynamic HSE variants and are available as an optional extra on the rest, in the choice of Ebony, Light Oyster, Acorn, Light Oyster/Ebony two tone, Eclipse/Ebony two tone or Tan/Ebony two tone. Windsor leather seats with Autobiography pattern are only available on the SVAutobiography Dynamic variant. Premium textile and suedecloth seats are available as an optional extra on all variants in Dapple Grey.
