Glue failing on Falcon rear window
Answered by Graham Smith · 14 Aug 2015

Providing the car hasn't been involved in a crash or anything else that might have an effect on the window you could have a claim on the basis of a manufacturing or design fault. Either the glue wasn't up to the job, or it wasn't properly applied in production. The car is six years old, however, and it would probably be easier and less painful to simply repair it instead of trying to lever a few bucks out of Ford.

Ford Falcon: LPG availability
Answered by Graham Smith · 19 Jun 2015

I wouldn't be at all concerned about LPG being available, but I would strongly advise that you do your homework on where you can buy LPG before you leave home. The distribution network of LPG in country areas has never been as comprehensive as it is in cities, and that's what you've found.

Holden Commodore: Tall children
Answered by Carsguide.com.au · 17 Aug 2015

Based on your height alone I'd say the Commodore will be a better fit. And why not enjoy an Aussie V8 before they're gone?

Ford supply dropping?

One of my mates has had similar troubles getting an XR6 ute.

Ford Falcon 2014: Pulling left
Answered by Carsguide.com.au · 17 Jul 2015

You're in a bind and there's no easy way out. If you want to pursue it with Ford have it checked by an independent engineer registered with the RTA and have him produce a report you can take to Ford. But I would suggest instead of presenting it directly yourself enlist the help of a solicitor to write to Ford about your case and enclose the report with it.

Ford Falcon: What's a good replacement for towing?
Answered by Paul Gover · 06 Jul 2015

If you like the Falcon, why not get another one? It's not dead yet and a new one will serve you well for some years. Otherwise, look at the Chrysler 300C.

Ford Falcon: Column shift
Answered by Graham Smith · 24 Jul 2015

Ford has a column change available as a not-cost option on its ute, but none of its passenger cars.

Ford Falcon: Water damage
Answered by Paul Gover · 03 Aug 2015

If the engine is running fine there is no damage. As soon as water gets into a combustion chamber it does the damage, as it is impressible and can wreak havoc with things like valves and even connecting rods.

Value of 1996 Falcon wagon?
Answered by Graham Smith · 17 Jul 2015

In good condition, which his clearly isn't, a 1996 XR6 would be worth $2000-$3500. In its damaged condition, his is worth scrap value, barely worth $500.

Ford Falcon 2004: Noise over small bumps
Answered by Carsguide.com.au · 03 Jul 2015

It's not possible to say with any certainty without inspecting the car, which is what you should have done. But on what you have told us I'd be looking at the suspension bushes and shock absorbers in the front-end.
