Three years ago I bought a 2008 Falcon Wagon fitted with the LPG engine. Over the past six months as I have made trips south to Grafton and north to Bundaberg I have found it difficult to locate service stations selling LPG and a great variance in the price, from 64.5 to 109.9 cents/litre. I am intending to see a lot more of Australia in the coming years and have recently bought a caravan, which I will tow with my Ford. Should I be concerned about the future of LPG? Is it here to stay or not?
I wouldn't be at all concerned about LPG being available, but I would strongly advise that you do your homework on where you can buy LPG before you leave home. The distribution network of LPG in country areas has never been as comprehensive as it is in cities, and that's what you've found.
