The Fiat Scudo first launched in 1996 as a versatile mid-size van. Developed through a partnership between Fiat and PSA Group, it filled the gap between smaller city vans and the larger heavy-duty models. This original generation shared its DNA with the Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert. It quickly became a popular choice for businesses needing a compact footprint and high load capacity.

A second generation arrived in 2007 with a larger body and improved engine efficiency. Fiat offered this version in various lengths and heights to suit different commercial needs. During this period, the model was also sold as the Toyota Proace in select regions. Production of this series eventually ended in 2016 when the Fiat Talento temporarily replaced the nameplate in the local lineup.

The Fiat Scudo returned to showrooms in 2022 as a rebadged version of the modern Stellantis platform. This latest model is virtually identical to the Citroen Dispatch and Vauxhall Vivaro sold overseas. Now available as a Fiat Scudo, it features advanced safety technology and refined diesel power. It remains a competitive alternative for buyers seeking a European workhorse with passenger car comfort.
