The LS is the mid-grade Outlander, and the most affordable version available with seven seats.
Priced from $43,290 for the front-wheel drive, or $45,790 for the all-wheel drive, the LS adds more than just a third-row, with a small boost to standard equipment, too.
The gear available on the base ES is included like LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and multimedia touchscreen, built-in nav with Google services, wireless apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-speaker Yamaha audio system, dual-zone climate control, as well as fabric interior trim with manually adjustable seats, although the full-size spare is swapped out for a space-saver.
On top of this equipment, the LS also adds two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic rain-sensing wipers, the Mitsubishi Connect online suite with emergency call function, a smart key, retractable cargo cover, wireless phone charger, USB power to the second row, privacy glass, roof rails, LED fog lights, as well as a leather-bound steering wheel and shifter.
The standard active safety list is identical to the ES, including auto emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control.
All combustion Outlander grades are powered by the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (135kW/244Nm) mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Importantly for the 2025 update, all Outlander grades now score an Australian-developed ride and handling tune.
Fuel consumption for the LS is rated at 7.7L/100km for the front-wheel drive, or 8.1L/100km for the all-wheel drive. All combustion Outlanders can run on base 91RON petrol.
Boot capacity is 478 litres with the third row folded, or 163L with the third row upright.
