With the removal of the DX and RX grades, the SL is now the entry point to the 2021 Nissan Navara range.
Available across all three body styles – single cab, king cab and dual cab – the SL is also offered in chassis and pick-up forms, as well as 4x2 and 4x4 drivelines.
The 4x4 versions of the SL single-cab chassis are priced at $39,300 (manual) and $41,800 (automatic), while the auto-only 4x2 king-cab chassis and 4x4 king-cab chassis are $38,800 and $45,800 respectively.
Rounding out the SL king-cab range is the 4x4 pickup automatic for $47,600.
Those after a dual-cab SL can choose between the 4x2 pickup manual ($39,600) or auto ($42,100), 4x4 cab chassis manual ($44,800) or auto ($49,100), and 4x4 pickup manual ($46,600) or auto ($49,100).
Standard equipment on the SL grade includes 17-inch steel wheels, an 8.0-inch multimedia touchscreen, 7.0-inch driver display, while safety gear extends to autonomous emergency braking (AEB), cruise control, seven airbags, trailer sway control and driver attention alert.
Powering the SL in all but the base 4x2 manual is 2.3-litre twin-turbo-diesel engine outputting 140kW/450Nm, paired to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox.
The entry-level version however, is propelled by a 2.3-litre single-turbo diesel engine, punching out 120kW/403Nm.
