My son nearly 'lost' the engine in his 2014 Mazda BT-50 when the coolant hose to the turbo fractured, which is a problem Mazda is only fixing on service, but no recall to replace this that has the potential to destroy the engine with coolant loss. Not good enough Mazda!
We bought a 2011 Mitsubishi Challenger Matrix in Qld and have just had it registered in NSW after affixing a hin no. My question is, now we need a blue slip and apparently we need to change the towing connector to a 12 pin and rewire our Challenger, add new model brake monitor etc. etc. up to possibly $2000. Does this sound correct? Where could I find details of these requirements?
Driving my 2014 Holden Captiva on the highway at 100 km/h black smoke came from exhaust engine, a loud knocking noise was heard, but no warning lights came on. I could not stop on highway, so drove for 10 min. at low speed – 60km/h – the engine did not lose power or become hot, the noise stopped and the engine ran normally. I stopped in a town and called the NRMA, but they could not help. They checked the car and said it may have been a particle filter burn-off gone wrong. The car was checked at a Holden garage, but they could not find any fault. What is going on? Have you heard of this happening before? Also, the car is now having trouble changing down a gear, and shudders when changing down. What is your opinion?
I've got error "Transmission malfunction service now" on my 2012 Ford Focus. Is this anything related to dual-clutch PowerShift transmission problem? Also, does Ford take responsibility to fix this issue without charging me? I
believe I have 5 years extended warranty that expires on Jan 2018 and my car is currently inspected by Ford mechanics.
