The CX-5 is rated to tow 1800 kg (braked) and as long as you stay within that limit you should be fine. There shouldn’t be any need to fit an additional transmission oil cooler, and any increase in tyre wear should be minimal.
There are plenty of reports of the BT50 gearbox jumping out of fifth gear, but we haven’t seen one of it jumping out of first. It could be wear, although it’s very low kays for wear to be showing up. Take it to a gearbox specialist and have it checked.
At such low mileage I would doubt that the transmission is shot, so before I replaced it I would consult an automatic transmission specialist and get their opinion. It could simply be that it needs servicing.
You will struggle for space in a CX-5 as it's smaller than the CX-7. I would go for a Hyundai Santa Fe, which gets The Tick with seven seats, quality, a five-year warranty and lifetime capped-price service costs.
From your description is appears that it could be repaired, but without actually seeing it I couldn't say how much it might cost. There are websites you can use to get a quote on-line and I'd suggest you do that. Google "bumper repairs".

On that basis your consumption would seem to be too high, but your car is still very new and I would be giving it more time to settle in. You could go for a run out on the highway and see what that produces.
There has been no recall on this, and I doubt Mazda would be terribly interested in a 2001 model car. There is little you can do other than follow the advice your mechanic has given you.
Right now, with the HiLux set for a total replacement in the first half of next year, the Ford and Mazda are the better choices and get The Tick. Ford developed the car but shoppers report better deals on the BT-50.
