The Kia Stonic interior can't quite match its premium looking exterior. Yes, Kia have created a modern-looking cabin with sporty seats, dark-coloured tones and even carbon-fibre effect materials on the dashboard on the GT-Line, but the hard plastics used especially on the doors on all grades bring the tone down to a a more budget feel.

Coming standard on the entry grade Stonic S are halogen headlights and halogen DRLS, roof rails and 15-inch steel wheels.

Inside, the entry grade S there's an 8.0-inch media display with rear view camera, plus wireless Apply CarPlay and Android Auto.

Stepping up to the mid-range Sport grades adds 17-inch alloy wheels, proximity unlocking with push-button start, sat-nav, digital radio, a premium steering wheel and heated folding wing mirrors.

The GT-Line adds LED headlights and runnig lights, premium sports seats, a GT-Line body kit, a sunroof, privacy glass and climate control.

There are two engines in the Kia Stonic range. The grade you choose will determine which powerplant you will get. The entry-grade S and mid-range Sport have a 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol making 74kW and 133Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox.

The top of the range GT-Line has a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol making 74kW and 172Nm. The GT-Line comes with a sporty seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Kia Stonic is a little SUV but it can still seat five people. The seats have fabric upholstery throughout the entire line-up.

The 0-100km/h time for the Kia Stonic ranges from about 8 seconds to 11 seconds depending on the engine and the model grade.

The Kia Stonic GT-Line with its 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and 45-litre fuel tank has a range of approximately 833km. The 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine has a range of about 670km.
