My view is that unless you are doing high kays it's not worth buying diesel models. The Grand Cherokee diesel is around $4000 more expensive than the petrol V6 and a rough calculation based on the higher cost of diesel compared to PULP and diesel's lower consumption says that it would take you more than 100,000 km to recoup that cost. On top of that diesels are more expensive to service.
