Jaecoo J8

FROM $46,990

The Jaecoo J8 was launched globally in 2023 as the flagship SUV of Chery’s new premium off-road brand. Built on the same T1X platform as the Jaecoo J7, it was designed to compete with mid-size and large SUVs in markets such as China, the Middle East and South America. Early models featured a turbocharged petrol engine with hybrid options added in selected regions.

By 2024 the Jaecoo J8 began to roll out in more export markets, sometimes under the Omoda Jaecoo brand umbrella. Updates included improved cabin technology, expanded driver assistance systems and the introduction of plug-in hybrid variants. In some countries the J8 was marketed simply as the Chery J8, reflecting different brand strategies.

Today the 2025 Jaecoo J8 sits as a high-spec alternative to mainstream family SUVs, with an emphasis on off-road capability. It remains the largest model in the Jaecoo line-up and represents the brand’s global push into premium territory.

The line-up currently starts at $46,990 for the J8 Track and ranges through to $59,990 for the range-topping J8 Shs Summit Awd.
