The BMW-sourced, 12.3-inch touch-sensitive infoscreen can also be controlled by a rotary knob next to the gear lever when the going gets bumpy. Rather than on-board navigation, the system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android for constantly up-to-date info. And should you suddenly find yourself lost in the Outback, a “pathfinder” feature allows users to program, follow and record a route via waypoints even in the absence of roads signs and tyre tracks.
Given this is a prototype drive, it's too soon to say exactly what colours the Ineos will be offered in in Australia. But that information should become clear by April.
No, there is not. Obviously, being a small manufacturer, Ineos needs to rationalise as much of the vehicle as possible, and adding a manual transmission version would have cost a lot extra in terms of design, development, engineering and testing.
The good news is that the standard transmission for the Grenadier is the rather good ZF eight-speed automatic that has been used by car-makers all over the world. It's a smooth, clever transmission that seems to suit many vehicles very well. And while the hard-core off-roaders out there will complain about the lack of a clutch-pedal option, the reality of modern automatics is that, for most drivers, they actually work better off-road than a manual ever did, particularly in sand or when tackling steep climbs.

The Grenadier comes with all the necessary pragmatic elements a brawny off-road machine should, including built-in load-lashing bars, cargo rails, tow hooks front and rear, and heavy-duty bush plates.
Three full-size adults can slot in the back nicely, thanks to the front seats being shaped to give the rear passengers sufficient knee room. The two-seat and five-seat commercial versions can accommodate a Euro pallet, too.

Ineos hasn't confirmed the specifics yet, but given the Grenadier comes in two-or five-seat configurations, how much boot space you get largely depends upon how many people you need to carry.
It's big, bulky and not built for speed, but we'd estimate a sprint to 100km/h somewhere around the 10-second mark.
