The 2026 Forthing Taikon 5 comes with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.6-inch touchscreen multimedia system, climate control, synthetic leather upholstery, as well as a driver’s seat with 10 ways of electric adjustment, ventilation and massaging as standard.

Stepping up to the Exclusive brings a power tailgate, panoramic glass sunroof, rear privacy glass, a six-speaker sound system and a wireless phone charger.

All versions come with a tyre repair kit, besides the EV Exclusive which has a space-saver spare wheel.

The 2026 Forthing Taikon 5’s interior essentially hinges around a large and prominently mounted 14.6-inch touchscreen multimedia system. It offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There’s also an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.

Elsewhere up there are two cupholders, covered and uncovered centre console storage, as well as a glovebox. The top-spec Exclusive gains a wireless phone charger.

In the second-row there are air vents mounted on the back of the centre console, a singular USB-A port, as well as a fold-down armrest with cupholders.

The 2026 Forthing Taikon 5 EV has a single, front-mounted electric motor that produces 150kW and 340Nm.

The REEV on the other hand is powered by a single, rear-mounted electric motor that produces 120kW and 240Nm.

The 2026 Forthing Taikon 5 has a five-seat configuration as standard. Black leather upholstery is standard across the line-up.

The front passenger seat on the other hand has four ways of electric adjustability.

The rear seats are capable of folding in a 60:40 configuration.

The 2026 Forthing Taikon 5 doesn’t have any official 0-100km/h sprint time or top speed figures.

The EV should be able to get to 100km/h in under 10 seconds, however the REEV may take longer than 10 seconds due to it having less power and being heavier.

Both versions of the Taikon 5 should be able to get to 150km/h.

The 2026 Forthing Taikon 5 EV has a 64.4kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that allows for up to 427km of WLTP-claimed range.

The REEV, on the other hand, has a smaller 31.2kWh LFP battery that allows for up to 170km of WLTP-claimed range. It also has a 43L fuel tank that allows for a combined WLTP total range of up to 937km.
