Standard on the Exceed are 18-inch alloys, six-speaker stereo, air-conditioning, keyless entry and start, reversing camera, cruise control, fog lamps, powered folding mirrors, rear parking sensors, leather seats, heated front seats, electric drivers seat, panoramic sunroof auto headlights and wipers, auto high beam, and a space-saver spare.
The multimedia system is a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB. Curiously it has a GPS location feature, but no maps. The screen is by far the most modern part of the car - snappy, crisp and it looks good even if the graphics are a bit Fisher Price.
The standard safety package includes seven airbags, ABS, stability and traction controls, brake assist, reversing camera, forward AEB, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, two ISOFIX points and three top-tether anchors.
The ASX scored five ANCAP stars in 2014.
