The VTi-L + ADAS is the king of the HR-V range because not only is it the top-spec grade but it comes with the optional ($1000) safety package all for a list price of $34,340.
The standard features list is extensive. Some of it is just cosmetic, like chrome door handles, but most of it is substantial stuff such as leather upholstery, power adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, panoramic sunroof, and front and rear parking sensors.
Then there’s the features you’ll get on the grade below this too such as the 7.0-inch screen, sat nav, reversing camera, six-speaker stereo and climate control, but you get 17-inch alloys, proximity key, LED headlights and DRLs, leather steering wheel and advanced safety equipment.

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assist System which is really just a pack of extra safety equipment such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and adaptive high beams. These come on top of the AEB which is standard on the VTi-S.
The HR-V scored the maximum five-star ANCAP rating.
There’s one engine for the entire line-up – it’s a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol which makes 105kW and 172Nm. If you’re looking for a HR-V with a manual gearbox you’ll need to buy one from the year 2000 because these days the small SUV only comes with a CVT auto transmission.
All HR-Vs are front-wheel drive.
