Budget-friendly new EV lands in Oz

A new electric SUV will hit the market in Australia.

Leapmotor has announced its electric B10 SUV will be available in Australia.

Prices start at $38,990 for the Style variant which is powered by a single-motor 56.2 kWh LFP battery and has a claimed WLTP range of 361km. The Style variant extends the range to a potential 434km (WLTP).

The rear-wheel drive B10 has 160kW of power and produces 240nM, which shifts the car from 0-100km/h in eight seconds, going on to a top speed of 170km/h. 

In terms of charging, it can deliver a 30-80 per cent boost in around 20 minutes for DC charging. 

The car also comes with a distinctive fixed panoramic glass roof.

Leapmotor is already selling the larger C10 electric SUV in Australia, with 381 examples sold up to August 2025.

The Leapmotor B10 will be on sale from November.
