Asked by Yee
Subaru specifies 0W-20 engine oil as the factory standard for my 2016 model. I'm thinking of using Mobil 10W-40 fully synthetic oil. Is this advisable? Will there be any adverse effects?
Answered by CarsGuide
20 Oct 2017I would use the factory recommended oil, at least while the car is under warranty. Once the warranty has expired you could use the Mobil oil and shouldn’t experience any problems.
