We contacted Kia and it seems there are a couple of possible things you could do, but they need more information to identify the type of key your car uses. They recommended that you contact their customer assistance service on 131 542 and they will be happy to assist you.

Demonstrator purchased with rust spots, claim to fix it?
Answered by Paul Gover · 29 May 2016

Get it straight back to the dealership and make a big fuss. From my experience, the quality of Chery vehicles is not good and rust in any car is something that needs to be sorted as quickly as possible.

X-Type rough on bumps
Answered by Paul Gover · 29 May 2016

If the Pedders blokes can't find anything, and I'm a huge fan of the brand, then it's likely a softer-riding tyre will help. The X-Type is based on a Ford Mondeo, so you could be expecting too much.

Best brand of tyres for replacements?
Answered by Carsguide.com.au · 29 May 2016

If you're happy with the original Bridgestones that could be the easier option, especially since they have lasted well, but I'm also hearing good things about the latest Kumho tyres and they are excellent value.

If you want the V8 then you should have it. The economy will be good enough on highway work but remember it will suck fuel down on short trips or if you uncork the performance away from the traffic lights.

Answered by Paul Gover · 29 May 2016

It's always a good idea to replace a 10-year-old car to improve safety and economy but recalls for minor things are not a huge worry.

Yaris recall urgency
Answered by Paul Gover · 29 May 2016

Some dealers don't make recalls a priority because there is no profit in the work. In their defence, there can also be a parts supply backlog for a particular recall, though this is unlikely in your case if another dealer can be so prompt with the work.

Renault Australia promises a proper solution. Spokeswoman Mel Cross replies: "Renault is rectifying the vehicle with new parts."

Ford Focus 2016: Electrical problems from rain
Answered by Carsguide.com.au · 26 May 2016

I doubt that leaving the window open in the rain is responsible for your problem, and I doubt that it's fuse problem. If you want to check the fuses you could see which relates to which part of the circuit in the owner's manual. The best course of action is to take it to a Ford dealer or auto electrician and have it checked.

Best off-road SUV for around $16,000?
Answered by Graham Smith · 26 May 2016

There is a wide choice of SUVs that might fit your needs, but one that I would suggest if off-road performance is a priority for you is the Suzuki Grand Vitara. It's a dual-range wagon with good off-road capability and fits within your budget.
