Originally known as the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, the Volvo EX40 arrived in 2022. It marked Volvo’s first fully electric compact SUV. It replaced previous internal combustion models in that segment. It arrived with strong safety gear and a simple cabin. That launch set a clear direction for Volvo’s electric push.

The line-up currently starts at $69,990 for the EX40 Ultra Single Motor and ranges through to $82,990 for the range-topping EX40 Black Edition.
