Renault Scenic E-Tech

FROM $55,990

The Renault Scenic E-Tech small/medium SUV arrived in Australia in early 2026 as a battery-electric vehicle. It marks a significant shift for a nameplate that first launched in 1996 as the Megane Scenic. That original model created the compact MPV segment in Europe and won the 1997 European Car of the Year award. It later dropped the Megane prefix in 1999 to become a standalone range.

The nameplate spans five generations. It evolved through several iterations of people movers including the seven-seat Grand Scenic before production of the internal-combustion versions ended in 2022. Renault reinvented the model in 2024 as a dedicated electric SUV built on the AmpR Medium platform. This version secured another European Car of the Year title in 2024. In some markets the vehicle is also known as the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross EV through a platform sharing agreement.

The current Renault Scenic E-Tech SUV features two battery options with a driving range up to 625km. The local Australian line-up includes the Techno and the flagship Esprit Alpine variants. While previous generations in Australia were sold as versatile multi-purpose vehicles until 2010, the latest model focuses on a crossover body style. It provides a 545L boot and sustainable interior materials to suit modern family buyers.

The line-up currently starts at $55,990 for the Scenic E-Tech Techno Ev60 and ranges through to $65,990 for the range-topping Scenic E-Tech Espirit Alpine Ev87.
