The guys at Hoonigan Industries have created some awesome cars such as the Hoonicorn Mustang and countless other balls-out monsters.

You can now drive some of these cars in Forza Horizon 3, thanks to the latest car pack which features seven Hoonigan vehicles.

To coincide with the release, another project car has joined their garage and as the game is set in Australia, the iconic ute is the project of choice.

The exact model is a Holden VY Commodore SS ute, imported straight from our shores.

The ute was exported with no engine or gearbox but will receive all the underpinnings from a 2004 Pontiac GTO used in their tug of war video.

Fitting, as the GTO shared all the same components such as the LS1 (5.7-litre) V8 as the SS.

However, there will be several aftermarket modifications added to the "Bogan-mino" with the highlight being two massive NOS bottles.

Aim is to produce 600hp (447kW) which isn't a hard goal to achieve but when NOS is involved the risk of the engine blowing is much higher.

There is also plans to convert the ute into left-hand drive which is the closest the Americans will ever get to the Pontiac G8 ST (sports truck) shown at the 2008 New York International Auto Show before eventually being scrapped.

Despite using an Aussie icon, there's sadly still no chance of Ken Block visiting Australia to record the next Gymkhana.

Also, a date for this epic build to be completed by hasn't been given but rested assure we'll be the first to let you know when it is done.

What car would you like to see the Hoonigans modify? Let us know in the comments below.

Following a passion shared by his father and grandfather, Mitchell’s love of cars really kicked off with his Godfather’s purchase of a new Mazda RX-8. Exposure to that car changed his world forever, leading to an RX-7 obsession. To feed his automotive addiction, Mitchell decided to become a motoring journalist and made his mark at several high-profile motoring publications before landing at CarsGuide. While he is a rotary loyalist, Mitchell also has a massive love for Aussie muscle cars, and dreams of one day getting behind the wheel of a Charger R/T E49 (if anyone will let him). His other passions include Queensland, and spending Saturdays with the boys.
