Second in the range is the 2.5-litre flat-four powered 2.5i, priced at $36,240.
For that you get 18-inch alloys, a six-speaker stereo with a 5.7-inch touchscreen, cloth trim, power windows and mirrors, dual-zone climate control, reversing camera, auto headlights and wipers, cruise control, daytime running lights, halogen headlights, cloth trim and full-size spare wheel.
Also included are seven airbags (including driver's knee airbag), ABS, brake assist, stability and traction control, brake force distribution, three top-tether anchors and tow ISOFIX points. All this adds up to a maximum five star ANCAP safety rating.
As the 2.5i is CVT-only, you also pick up Subaru's advanced safety system known as EyeSight. This adds active cruise control, AEB, reverse cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist.
