The SP25 is the entry point to the sportier side of the Mazda3 line-up, and kicks off at $25,190 for either hatchback or sedan body styles. It looks the part and is packed with tricky chassis and powertrain tech, including G-Vectoring Control which manages engine torque to further sharpen dynamic responses.
This list price is $400 more than the Touring beneath it, but is more closely related to the Maxx's equipment level. Beyond Maxx trim, the SP25 adds 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, proximity keys, auto headlights and wipers and a subtle bootlid spoiler for the sedan . The trim level above the SP25 is the SP25 GT, which starts $4600 more than the SP25 at $29,790.Â
The SP25 also steps up to the 138kW/250Nm 2.5-litre petrol four cylinder engine, and is paired with the same six-speed manual and optional six-speed automatic that can be added for an extra $2000.
