Kia has shown off a tough version of its EV5 electric SUV.
The rugged off-road styled EV broke cover at the Guangzhou motor show last week, and is the latest Kia concept to wear the WKNDR (Weekender) badge.
Beefed up styling gives the EV5 WKNDR some serious street cred, with lifted suspension and chunky all-terrain tyres delivering greater ground clearance and better grip on slippery surfaces.

It has the same bright green highlights as the other concept vehicles, and it also has a monster side skirt, a bonnet ornament and heavy-duty roof racks.
The interior is luxe, with a massive screen that runs from the centre of the console almost to the passenger side door.
There has been a bright green explosion inside with the eye-popping colour used extensively throughout, including the door trim, steering wheel and centre console.
It features reworked seats with fresh hard-wearing upholstery and adjustable storage options in the cargo area.
Kia has shown off several WKNDR concepts previously, including a Tasman concept that hinted at a future Ford Ranger Raptor rival.
The South Korean brand has also shown a WKNDR concept of the EV9 large electric SUV and the PV5 electric van.
The sheer volume of WKNDR concepts points to Kia delivering a off-road focused line of models similar to sister brand Hyundai's XRT line.
Kia didn’t reveal any technical details of the EV5 WKNDR concept, but it is expected to maintain the same set-up as the current all-wheel drive version.
This means it’ll likely use two electric motors to make a combined 230kW and 480Nm paired with a single speed transmission and all-wheel drive grip.
At its core is a circa-88kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that provides a driving range of up to 500km in the standard AWD versions. The EV5 AWD can accept a max DC charge rate of 140kW.
