VW DSG warranty concern

I have had problems with the gearbox in my 2010 VW 90TSI DSG, which I purchased new. No fault was found the first two times I took it back to the dealer, but on the third time the multi-plate was replaced. There was also an update done, which we were later told by another dealer that it was carried out correctly. We have now been informed that the clutch plate needs replacing. The warranty expires in August and we're concerned about what would happen if it happens again after the expiration.

The clutch issue you have experienced (twice) is a common one with the DSG and the replacement clutch that is to be fitted should be covered by warranty. In other countries such has been the trouble with the DSG that VW has extended the warranty on it to 10 years. Approach VW and request a free extended warranty from them.
