    Does the Golf still have DSG gearbox and clutch problems?

    Looking through VW forums there are heaps of threads and comments re the MK 7 DSG gearbox and clutch issues. Do you believe there is still an endemic problem with these gearboxes? Would you be happy to recommend buying a Golf outside the warranty period?

    In a word, no. I'm not convinced the gearbox issues are fully fixed, and I certainly wouldn't buy one outside the warranty period.
