A Holden Commodore by another name, the Toyota Lexcen was part of the government at the time’s proposal to reduce the number of models built locally, hence the tie up between the two brands.
Based on the VN Commodore produced from 1988 to 1991, the Lexcen was essentially a badge-swapped Holden, meaning near identical styling and underpinnings.
However, the Lexcen was offered exclusively with a V6 powerplant and missed out on Holden’s beefy V8, but was available in both sedan and wagon bodystyles.
The line-up currently starts at $2,860 for the Lexcen CSi and ranges through to $4,840 for the range-topping Lexcen CSi.
No, using an injector cleaner would only help if you were running on petrol, it would have no effect at all if you were running on gas. I would suspect that the engine is tired and in need of a freshen up, particularly if it's been running on gas for some time. Installing new plugs and leads would help, but I would suggest you have the compression checked. That would tell you if the valves are sticking, or even leaking.

YOUR car is a rebadged VS Holden Commodore built by Holden for Toyota when Holden and Toyota were sharing models. The headlining dropping is not a common problem, though it was once fairly common in older cars. Take it to a trimmer and have them refit it, making sure it is fitted correctly.
