The Suzuki Mighty Boy was a small car-based ute designed to comply with Japanese ‘Kei’ small car regulations.
Unlike the larger Suzuki Carry which is a light commercial vehicle built to comply to the same standards, the Mighty Boy was the only ute-based kei car of its time, based on the equally odd Cervo hatchback.
Now known as a cult classic, the Mighty Boy was even briefly sold officially in Australia between 1985 and 1988.
The line-up currently starts at $1,930 for the Mighty Boy 300Kg and ranges through to $4,070 for the range-topping Mighty Boy 300Kg.
The Jumbuck only got a two-star safety rating from ANCAP and the Mighty Boy was regularly rated in the bottom 10 cars sold in Australia for safety. You should not consider either but get something like a pre-loved Nissan Navara.
