The Mercedes-AMG G63 is the high-performance hero of the iconic G-Class range, blending brutal power with military-grade presence. Originally developed as a rugged off-roader for military use in the late 1970s, the G-Wagen evolved into a luxury status symbol by the 2000s. The AMG version arrived in 2002, offering V8 grunt in a boxy shell that hadn’t changed much in decades.

Under the bonnet of the latest G63 lies a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, pumping out serious power and a signature exhaust roar that’s impossible to ignore.
