Mazda MX-6

The Mazda MX-6 was a two-door sporty coupe that lasted just two generations, both based on the 626 mid-sizer of the day.

The first from 1978 to 1991 in Australia had a hard edge with a 2.2-litre turbo engine. But the rounded off, softer second gen version from 1991 to 1997 was a cruiser rather than a bruiser, thanks to its V6 engine and four-wheel steering.

The line-up currently starts at $2,530 for the MX-6 (2WS) and ranges through to $4,950 for the range-topping MX-6 (4WS).
