Honda Accord 2008 FAQs

Check out real-world situations relating to the Honda Accord 2008 here, particularly what our experts have to say about them.

  • An old Accord

Two years is a long time for a car to be held in storage, but the car industry has been through a tough time with the market depressed until recent months and sales on a steep slide, and cars have sat unsold as a result. I wouldn't be too concerned that the car is two years old, or that it has been in storage, I'm sure the dealer would have serviced it before putting it on the road.

  • Different view

FIRST, you should have identified the problem during your test drive. But that aside, I have no problem with the convex mirrors used on most cars today because they give you a wider, more comprehensive view of what's going on around your car, though I understand many people don't like them. I believe it's simply a matter of becoming familiar with the view the mirrors are giving you and following the basic safe-driving technique of mirrors, signal, head check. The mirrors are legal, hence Honda's lack of interest in your situation. As suggested, you could fit a flat mirror and I'm sure that would fix your problem.

  • Mazda 6 2004 vs Honda Accord 2008: Which should I buy?

Until you described the condition I would have said the Mazda, but if the condition were only fair I would think twice about it. On the surface it’s the better option, but I would want it checked by an expert to get a true reading on the overall condition. The Honda could be a good buy, the mileage isn’t excessive for the age, but you have to think about the future and what could happen in the next 2 to 3 years.
