The GWM Cannon Alpha 2025 prices range from $44,990 for the basic trim level Dual Cab Lux (4X4) to $72,600 for the top of the range Dual Cab Ultra Phev (4X4).
Marble White is standard plus there's a choice of optional $595 metallics comprising 'Storm Grey', 'Onyx Silver', 'Crystal Black' and 'Lunar Red'.
The entry-level Alpha Lux's standard equipment list includes 18-inch alloys with 265/60R18 tyres and a full-size steel spare, roof rails, side-steps, synthetic leather trim, LED lights and front/rear parking sensors to name a few. The premium Ultra Hybrid adds a 60/40-split tailgate with electronic lock, leather-accented trim, panoramic sunroof, electric-sliding rear window, front/rear diff-locks and much more.
Alpha styling appears to draw inspiration from full-size US pick-ups with a bold and imposing grille design and nicely balanced proportions. All model grades also share a spacious and visually-appealing interior, featuring bold woodgrain dash/door-trim inserts and a classy blend of satin chrome, piano black and full chrome highlights.
The entry-level Lux and mid-level Ultra models in the Cannon Alpha range are equipped with a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel producing 135kW/480Nm, while the premium Hybrid pairs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with an electric motor to produce combined outputs of 255kW/648Nm.

The Cannon Alpha's load tub is 500mm deep and almost square given its 1500mm length and 1520mm length. With 1100mm between the rear wheel-housings, it won’t fit a standard 1165mm-square Aussie pallet but will take Euro pallets.
The Cannon Alpha range can accelerate from 0-100km/h in approximately 10-12 seconds depending on model, with top speeds exceeding 150km/h.
GWM claims official combined average consumption from a high of 9.8L/100km for the petrol-electric hybrid down to 8.9L/100km for the turbo-diesel, resulting in theoretical driving ranges of around 800km to 900km, respectively, from either an 80-litre petrol tank or 78-litre diesel tank.
