The Kia Sportage Si is a five-door, five-seat medium SUV that is available with either FWD petrol or AWD diesel drivetrains.

It comes with the choice of a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine that makes 114kW/192Nm, priced at $29,990, or a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 136kW/400Nm, at $35,390. The petrol engine is backed by a six-speed auto, and the diesel gets an eight-speed auto.

It sits below the Si Premium at $32,390/$37,690 (petrol/diesel), the SLi at $36,790/$42,190 and the GT-Line at $44,790/$47,690 (2.4-litre petrol/diesel).

All Sportage models come standard with AEB and lane keep assist, along with a reversing camera, six airbags and parking sensors. The Si comes with cloth seats, 17-inch alloys, a manual handbrake, auto lights and wipers and a 7.0-inch multimedia touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
