The Kia Sorento is a large seven-seat SUV and the sport grade sits above the entry-level Si, listing at $44,990 for the petrol version and $48,490 for the diesel.
Standard features include leather seats, an eight-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo with digital radio, sat nav, a reversing camera, dual-zone climate control, auto headlights with LED DRLs, roof rails, a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The previous 3.3-litre V6 petrol engine has now been replaced by 3.5-litre V6, producing a healthy 206kW and 336Nm, while the 2.2-litre diesel makes 147kW and 441Nm. The six-speed automatic transmission in the old car has now been replaced by an eight-speed auto.
Petrol Sorentos are front-wheel drive and diesel Sorentos are all-wheel drives.
Despite the petrol V6 being a bigger engine than before, fuel usage has only increased by 0.1L/100km for 10.0L/100km under combined driving conditions. The diesel is more frugal, with Kia saying you should see 7.6L/100km.

Three top tether mounts and two ISOFIX points can be found in the second row only.
