Australian 4x4 brand TJM has announced it has collaborated with Mitsubishi to create a series of three modified examples of the new Triton, which were displayed at the launch of the dual-cab in Thailand this week.

The 2024 Mitsubishi Triton was on display in various specifications and forms at an event called ‘Triton World’ for the launch, but the TJM show cars were each designed to show off a different arrangement of accessories for various purposes.

An off-roading, a camping and a work ute featured at the launch, with the company having detailed the accessories fitted to each.

The first of the three features roof and tray racks, with a relatively simple setup of bullbars and lights, seemingly focused on being an all-rounder.

A camping version of the Triton with roof-mounted tent and a kitchen unit was also shown off, with electrical fittings and a water tank added for self-sufficiency when camping.

Finally, a farm ute with a TJM ‘Farmer Cage’ in the tray - displayed with hay bales in the rear - shows off more of the ‘work’ side of the work and play aspects of the Triton.

The collaboration between the brands means TJM hopes Triton customers will look to it when it comes time for upgrading the new dual-cab.

“Here in Australia, the birthplace of TJM, we’re really excited by the prospect of this announcement and what this will mean for our customers,” said TJM parent company Aeroklas Asia Pacific Group’s CEO Greg Kelly.

“The Triton has consistently been a top-ranking vehicle in  Australia and through this collaboration we can assist Triton customers to do a lot more with their vehicles.”

CarsGuide contacted Mitsubishi Australia for further information and was told the brand is “looking forward to delivering an expansive range of genuine accessories that feature Australian design input”.
