Porsche is adding some filling to its 911 line-up.
The German brand has confirmed the 911 4S will join the local line-up in coupe, cabriolet and Targa body styles.
It sits in between the potent GTS and popular Carrera S grades, and brings all-wheel drive grip to the tried-and-tested S variant.
The all-wheel drive 4 and 4S are the only grades available in the Targa body shape.
Power comes from a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine that makes 353kW and 530Nm, which is matched to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
This helps it sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds, when paired with the Sports Chrono package, on the way to a top speed of 308km/h.
The 911 4S isnāt cheap, starting at $362,300 (before on-road costs) for the coupe, $385,200 for the drop-top and $389,400 for the Targa.

There are plenty of standard features for the spend, though.
Buyers can expect 20-inch alloy wheels up front and 21-inch units at the rear to add stability to the drive, torque vectoring tech that sends more power to the outside wheels to improve handling and a sports exhaust for aural enjoyment.

The 4S wears monster brakes from the GTS, which measure 408mm up front and 380mm at the rear.
The Cabriolet and Targa come with a rear seat, but the coupe comes with two seats as standard but the back bench can be added at no cost.

Some of the standard equipment highlights are power adjustable front seats with a memory function, smartphone mirroring, Bose stereo and adaptive cruise control.
The 911 4S range is now available to order in Australia.
