Porsche Australia adjusted the pricing of the Cayenne large SUV, with three of its variants decreasing by up to $600, while the remaining nine have increased by up to $6300.
The recently revealed E-Hybrid coupe (-$600) and GTS wagon and coupe (-$400) are the only versions to get price cuts, down to $151,000, $192,500 and $197,800 plus on-road costs respectively; due to the new financial year’s higher Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold.
As for the rest of the range, the Turbo S E-Hybrid wagon has jumped by the least, up $4200 to $292,200, while the S coupe has risen by the most, up $6300 to $172,500.
That said, buyers of the established variants are compensated with the addition of a head-up display and keyless entry for MY21. Standard specification otherwise carries over.
All in all, the Cayenne now starts from $121,300 for the wagon and tops out at $292,900 for the Turbo S E-Hybrid coupe (see full pricing table below).
As before, the large SUV is available in traditional wagon and style-focused coupe body-styles, with the unnamed entry-level grade motivated by a 250kW/450Nm 3.0-litre single-turbo V6 petrol engine, while S versions use a 324kW/550Nm 2.9-litre twin-turbo unit.
The GTS and Turbo grades are powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, albeit in two states of tune: 338kW/620Nm and 404kW/770Nm respectively.
The plug-in hybrid E-Hybrid and Turbo S E-Hybrid variants add an electric motor to the engines from the unnamed entry-level and Turbo grades respectively, lifting their outputs to 340kW/700Nm and 500kW/900Nm.
No matter the version, the BMW X5 and X6 rival is mated to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission and Porsche’s all-wheel-drive system.
