I currently have a 2007 Ford Ranger dual-cab. It’s done 181,000 km and I use it for my lawn mowing business and family at the weekends. I need to replace it, my mechanic and another mechanic I work for both recommend getting a petrol model, as most of my driving is stop/start with an occasional long distance trip.
What would you recommend? Petrol or diesel? A cheap Great Wall or a more expensive brand?
Petrol is really the best in your situations diesels are not at the their best in stop-start driving. I wouldn’t suggest a Great Wall; I feel they are still to earn their stripes in this country. Go for a 2.7-litre petrol Toyota HiLux.
