Very Handy Vehicle

MY HUSBAND is keen to buy a Holden Crewman ute for his work as a handyman. He needs to be able to carry a ladder, tools and maybe a roll or two of bitumen, but at other times we need to carry our grandchildren. Can you tell me if there is a V6 SS model, or is it just a V8, why Holden stopped making

THE SS was only a V8, but there was a Crewman S that came with the 3.8-litre V6. It will carry a decent load, certainly enough to handle your husband's work needs. The rear seating was rather upright and uncomfortable over a long period. You would expect to pay up to $25,000 for a V6 S and $28,000 for a V8 SS VZ model. It was dropped because it wasn't the success Holden hoped for and having a separate chassis it didn't fit well with Commodore production. I would look at a Japanese dual-cab.
