My daughter recently purchased a new VW Golf 92TSI. Unfortunately over the last couple of weeks the car's information screen, which controls the audio functions, Bluetooth, reverse camera and the like has not worked. When I took the vehicle to the dealer's service department they informed me that there had been a couple of instances like this in the past and perhaps one of the holding pins had come lose. The car was left for a couple of hours, but unfortunately there was no quick solution. The service department contacted VW in Sydney who noted the fault, but could not provide a "solution", saying that perhaps there could be a "fix" in a couple of weeks. Are you aware of any other new Golf owners experiencing similar problems? If so, has the issue been resolved for them?
We have seen one or two similar reports, but we haven't heard about any fixes that are available. I can only suggest at this stage that you keep the pressure on the dealer and VW to fix the car. Perhaps other affected owners could contact us with their experience.
