HR-V criticisms?

Having just read your CarsGuide critique on the Honda HR-V, of which I am now a proud owner, I find it interesting that you base your review on something as trivial as the luggage space cover, that I find quite functional. As it is a cover and not a shelf why would anyone put a bag of groceries on it? Most covers when removed require storage, this one can be twisted into a circle and placed out of sight in the map pouch on the back of the front seats. At least you got the bit about it driving well with plenty of room, as my wife and I test drove both the Mazda CX-3 and the Renault Captur and found that we bumped elbows constantly.

It's not solely about the luggage cover but also the $10,000 premium over the Jazz that is the basis for the HR-V. Even Mercedes-Benz can only justify a $6000 jump from the A-Class to the GLA, and that's on a $45,000 car.
