Cracks discovery

CRACKS have appeared at a roof joint in the body of my 2003 Landrover Discovery which I bought new. I have been told by my dealer and Landrover that it's regarded as a joint and might be prone to cracking because of movement. I find that astounding on a car that cost $60,000, particularly when I haven't taken it off-road. Should this be covered by the manufacturer?

THE cracks are most likely in the paint or joint sealer, rather than the body panels themselves, but I agree they're unsightly and give a bad impression of the structural integrity of the vehicle. I would certainly pursue Landrover and demand they take action to repair the area affected.
