    Ask Smithy Xtra Holden Crewman with clunking diff

    Holden Holden Advice Holden Crewman Holden Crewman Advice Holden Crewman 2004
    The diff in my 2004 VZ Holden Crewman is making a clunking sound, even though it?s only done 80,000 km and has been regularly serviced. Is it true that the diffs are a problem in the Crewman as a few people have told me? Holden?s Customer Service people told me they hadn?t heard of any problems with the diffs.

    Sorry to tell you but the diff problem is a common one in the Crewman, has been since it was new. Other than changing the diff, there’s not much you can do about it, except try changing the oil.
