Recently, in my workplace car park, I had an accident in my 2008 VW Tiguan diesel. I hit a concrete support pole at full speed and am unsure as to what happened. I have had many incidents of an unresponsive accelerator – a flat spot and then the car takes off at speed as it rights itself. I am a bit dazed as my accident happened in mere seconds, but I think the same thing happened and my accelerator jammed and the car flew forward. Before I could even hit the brake I collected the pole and the car is a write off. Just hoping you may have some feedback.

I have just read the recent announcement of the tech changes to the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, and it mentioned the 8-inch screen now had Apple Car Play/Android Auto. The current Santa Fe Elite and Highlander have 8-inch screens, but unfortunately they don't have Apple Car Play/Android Auto, as it was only supplied on the lower spec models with 7-inch displays. Will current Santa Fe owners be able to receive Apple Car Play/Android Auto as an upgrade? Is it simply a software change that owners can request their dealer to install?

I own a 2017 VW Tiguan. I have posted the following question to VW Australia and my dealer, and thought you may be able to shed some light on this subject. The question is: I read in the owner’s manual that when the navigation gets out of date one can download the latest data to an SD Card and then install it. I asked VW Australia where this was located on the web, as following the instructions to find it on www.volkswagen.com I could not. Glen Denman, Customer Experience Ambassador of VW Australia informed me I had to take the vehicle to a VW dealer for this to be performed and I would be charged for it. I also noted that the owner’s manual indicated there is a VW SD Card. On speaking with Glen I was informed this had a cost of some $500. Now I am no fool and the cost of SD Cards, depending on capacity, are quite inexpensive, and I am more than capable of following the instructions to load software. Can you please explain what the dealer charges when it is required, and why there is indeed any charge given the likes of Tom Tom and Garmin etc. can provide lifetime updates for free on a device that costs a mere couple of hundred dollars, and yet VW Australia cannot on a vehicle costing some $60,000? This to me appears to be yet another example where those in countries other than Australia are treated respectfully and Australians are taken for a ride." I would appreciate your thoughts and feedback.

I have a current 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid Atara SL. The specification indicates that the fuel tank has a capacity of 65 litres. However, I was never able to fill up petrol past 55 litres. Therefore, I suspect a short change of 10 litres somewhere, or the tank is 55 litres in all. The Camry hybrid has a distance to empty display and I only fill up when the display showed a dash as "-", as the computer tells me I cannot drive further or the petrol could run out any time. Can you please tell me the truth behind this?

The negative battery terminal came loose on my 2015 Foton Tunland, but after I tightened it and started the car the engine light came on. Is there an easy way to reset the computer to see if goes out?

Has anyone else had a problem with their 2016 Ford Ranger shutting down whilst driving? Whilst driving along it suddenly looses all power, there are no warning lights, it just shuts down, but will then restart without a problem. This has happened to us about 10 times now, it’s been back to Ford three times and nothing shows on their computer. This is extremely dangerous and we are worried about driving it yet Ford say they have never heard of this happening before and can't find anything wrong with it.
