First Car
We are looking at buying a car for my 18-year-old daughter. We want one with an automatic transmission and air bags, and our budget is $7500. What would you recommend?
I am looking at buying a 2004 Mazda 3 manual that's done 180,000km as a first car for my son. Is that too many kilometres? Does it still have a lot of life left in it?
Can a P-plater tow with the same weight restrictions as a full car licence holder?
I’m searching for a first car and my budget is $20,000 max. I don’t want a tiny hatchback that everyone seems to be driving now; I want a large sedan or SUV. I'd like it to be good city car in small places, but it also has to be able to take the corners of country roads when I go looking for waves. I would hope my car has a fairly nice interior as well. So far I have been looking at a Holden Commodore SV6, but I’m not sold because of the high price even when buying second hand. What would you suggest?
I am planning to purchase my first car as a P-plater and I'm considering a 2013 Toyota Corolla hatchback auto or a Ford Fiesta hatchback manual from 2006-2014. Could you give me any advice, or other suggestions on what car I should go for?
My budget is approximately $20,000.
I am looking at cars for my 18-year-old twins, the Ford Focus Trend or Holden Cruze Equipe, about 2012 models with 50,000km. I have read about transmission problems with the Cruze and dual-clutch issues with the Focus. It is very difficult to know what to do. Could you help with a decision, or suggest other cars?
I am looking to purchase my first car as a P-plater and really only want to buy European/German vehicles and want to know how much more they really are and what costs I have to actually look out for. I want to buy a car under $10,000, but don't really want to budge on European. Could you give me some advice or recommendations if it is realistic?
I am looking for a first car for my 19-year-old son. He has a budget of around $10,000 and I'm considering a Toyota Corolla or Subaru Impreza with a manual transmission around 2006. Safety is the key therefore the Subaru fits the bill. Are there others we should consider?
